We apologize for not updating sooner, but thanks to the newspaper posting a link to this site, we have been busy corresponding and working, etc, with our supporters. It’s been so encouraging and heart warming to get this support! And we thank each and every one of you! Be assured, it is going to a worthy cause.

As many of you know, the preliminary hearing was January 16, where we heard the ’story’ from the prosecution. The charges were dropped for Brent’s wife, the shooting charges dropped for Brent, but the DA added 2 more cruelty charges…after all this time? Wouldn’t they know back in July, when the charges were filed, whether the added two should be included? Uh, yes, strange.

Also strange, is the fact no charges have ever been filed against Brent’s caretaker, who was ultimately responsible for feeding and watering the livestock. Almost always, in these types of cases, that person is the primary individual charged, with the owner secondary. Interesting indeed, and this appears to be a case of “get Brent Painter’, not about animal care.
